- Does Motion Capture save money and time?
- Yes. Numerous motions can be captured in a very short period of time and capturing data can be viewed in real-time, therefore editing of action is quite easy and fast. All these factors make a huge difference to your project, in terms of time and money.
- What are the output file formats?
- Output file formats are BVH and C3D which can be incorporated with popular 3D packages and game engines.
- What types of motion capture systems are available in the BeyondMotion studio?
- We have the Optical Motion Capture system and Exoskeleton system.
- Is it possible to capture motion outdoors?
- Outdoor motion capturing is made possible with our Exoskeleton system. This system is portable and motion can be captured under any lighting conditions.
- What is the capturing space with the Optical Motion Capturing System?
- 4m x 4m.
- What is the capture range of the Exoskeleton system?
- 50 meters.
- What does ‘retarget’ mean?
- To retarget means to bind the captured data to the 3D characters.
- What type of characters can be retargeted with captured motions?
- Any type of characters can be retargeted with our system. Once 3D models have been retargeted in MotionBuilder they can be exported in to popular 3D packages such as Maya, 3D Max, Softimage and Cinema 4D.
- Is BeyondMotion captured data compatible with game engines?
- Yes it is. We produce C3D and BVH data which are the most utilized file formats in the computer and video gaming industry.
- Can I hire the motion capture system for use anywhere in Australia?
- Yes. The minimum motion capture hire duration outside of Perth, Western Australia is three days. (Travel and accommodation costs apply.)
- What is the minimum hire cost?
- Minimum motion capture hire cost is AU$ 300, which is equivalent to a half day motion capture session (Perth, Western Australia only).
- Do I have to pay a deposit for ‘E-motion’ online service?
- No. We require payment upon completion of your motion capture project.
- Do I have to pay a deposit to hire the motion capture system?
- We only require a deposit if you want to hire our system outside of Perth, Western Australia. The deposit will depend on the number of hire days. For more information please contact us.
- What is the payment procedure for online services?
- Upon completion of your motion capture requirements, payment can be made online with PayPal or by credit card.
- Can I use Free Motion for commercial purposes?
- Free Motion is only for educational purposes and people who create animation for fun. All free motion captured files are licensed to BeyondMotion. You must obtain written permission from BeyondMotion to use Free Motion for commercial purposes.
